Privacy policy
This policy covers tryfactors.com — the marketing site and the beta registration form. It is not the privacy notice for a live Factors-powered storefront, which has its own.

The short version: this site collects what you type into the beta registration form plus basic analytics. We do not sell it, we do not share it for advertising, and we do not collect health information about you here.
Who we are
Factors is a product of The Digital Sciences Corporation (DSCO). You can reach us at hello@tryfactors.com about anything in this policy, including a request to access or delete your information.
What this site collects
Beta registration
When you submit the registration form, we receive and store:
- Your name and email address.
- Your brand name or working title, and optionally a link to where you reach people.
- What you tell us about your audience, your starting category, your timeline, and any notes you add.
- The brand direction, color and experience you selected in the storefront illustration, if you came to the form from it.
- Basic context about the submission: the referring page, any campaign parameters in the link you arrived through, your browser's user-agent string, and a salted one-way hash of your IP address.
We store a hash of the IP address rather than the address itself. It is enough to recognize a flood of automated submissions from one source, and not enough to re-identify you.
Registering again with the same email address updates your existing registration rather than creating a second one.
Analytics
We use PostHog to understand how the site is used — which pages are read, where people drop out of the registration flow, and whether the storefront illustration is actually used. Analytics requests are served from this domain rather than a third-party hostname, which is a technical choice about reliability, not an attempt to evade your browser's privacy settings. We honour Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals where your browser sends them.
Before you register, analytics data is not linked to your identity. After you register, we associate your activity on this site with your registration so we can tell which registrations came from where.
We use Resend to deliver the confirmation email and to notify our own team of a new registration. Your email address and registration details pass through that service for delivery.
Consumer health data
This site does not ask for, and should not be given, your health information. The registration form is about a business you want to build. It is not an intake form, and nothing on tryfactors.com collects information about your own medical conditions, treatments or care.
We do not treat the information collected here as consumer health data, and we do not sell consumer health data. We will not use registration information to infer anything about your health, and we do not share it with advertising networks or data brokers.
Some state laws — including the Washington My Health My Data Act, Nevada SB 370 and the Connecticut Data Privacy Act — define consumer health data broadly and give you specific rights over it, including the right to have it deleted and the right to withdraw consent. If you believe you have sent us health information through this site, email hello@tryfactors.com and we will delete it. We will never require you to agree to the sale of health data as a condition of anything.
If you later become a customer of a brand running on Factors, the health information involved in that care relationship is governed by the notices provided in that experience, and by the clinicians and pharmacies responsible for your care. This policy does not cover it.
Why we use it
- To decide whether to start a conversation with you about the beta.
- To contact you about your registration and, if relevant, about launching.
- To understand how the site performs and improve it.
- To detect and block automated abuse of the form.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
How long we keep it
Registrations are kept while the beta is open and while there is a realistic prospect of working together. Ask us to delete yours and we will, unless we are required to keep something for legal or accounting reasons.
Your choices
- Access, correction and deletion. Email us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it.
- Email. Registration confirmations are transactional. If we later email you about the beta and you would rather we did not, say so and we will stop.
- Analytics. Browser privacy signals and content blockers are respected. Nothing on this site depends on analytics working.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights. There is nothing to discriminate with: registering is free and there is no queue position to lose.
Security
Registrations are stored in an access-controlled database, transmitted over TLS, and available only to the people working the beta list. No system is perfect, and we would rather say that than imply otherwise.
Children
This site is for people building a business and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 through it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date above and, where the change affects information you have already given us, tell you directly.
